september 3, 2007 - i was blind, but now i see...

top of the afternoon, friends....

well, here is another beautiful day - a holiday - and yet.....I'M NOT ON A MOTORCYCLE!!!! what is wrong with that picture??? people are continuously taunting me by riding by and gunning their motors....lol i PROMISE you this - i will never, i mean NEVER take another beautiful day for granted. okay...i'm done complaining about not riding...lol

otherwise, my lovely sister is here, we're chatting it up, while we're both on our laptops. i so love my sis!

trish left to get some things done at home and to hopefully do something fun.

last night i got to go to peyton watt's cookout. it was great seeing alot of the guys and gals from work! the food was also very good. brenda c - do you smell something?? lol oh, yeah...dave dicken had to call me for directions to peyton's house. once again....i pulled his fat outta the fire...lol

i received an email from scott rike today. he's been given a "return to work" date - praise God! please pray that he does well on his GXT (physical) upon his return! he's been very inspirational for many of us and is so anxious to get back to his career.

i cannot believe that elzie fish left my "riding the chicken" comment alone. elzie...you disappointed me, my friend. lol

well, i'm going to continue watching "the closer" marathon today and commune with terry rae. we'll probably eat all day....lol

i'll give you an update on my dr's visit tomorrow. thanks for your continued prayers!

have a blessed day!

-Hey woman!

It was great seeing you at the party. You are looking great. We are praying your doctor's appointment goes smoothly tomorrow...can you see if he can do something about your feet. I knew you were at the party before you rolled in! LOL Seriously...we really do hope the skin graft is doing well on your knee.

We love seeing you in your helmet. You are definitely a testament to helmet goodness.

We went to see Cory Winfield today..or I should say his parents. Because visiting hours were over, we could not see Cory. He is still in a semi-comatose state. He has a trachiotomy for the ventilator now, but the doctor's are saying that is moving in the right direction. Cory is doing most of the breathing on his own. He is moving, but not yet awake. They think maybe another two weeks to bring him fully out of it, due to his head injury. Please keep him & his family in your prayers.

We are so glad you and Trish got to come to the party. It would have been great to see Mary too, but we understand she is still healing. You are both in our prayers and thoughts.

Positive thoughts for your doctor's appointment tomorrow.

Bless you!

Cool pictures, woman! (although I still don't see any kitty pictures!). Sounds like you've had a great couple of days and holiday weekend! Sorry I didn't "blog" until now, but my internet is still down (thanks, Time Warner). Hope they get it up and running soon!
Hope the news at the doctor is o.k. and that he says everything is healing as it should (so you can get on with it!).
Don't overdo too much! Remember to get plenty of rest. And don't worry about not making it to church--he's watching you and knows you are tired and need to rest! So stop beating yourself up!!!!!!

XOXOXOXOXOXOXOX

Hi 109'er5,

Hope your day is going just wonderfully. Hope your Doctor's appointment goes well. We need to get you completely well and back to your old self. It is always nice to hear from you. I wait, on a daily, basis to hear from you and always hope it is you when my phone rings. You are such an inspiration to all of us who take little things for granted. I would say those dogs would not eat that guy on the couch. They would not want that taste on their mouth.....Just kidding.....Don't tell him I said that.....Yea right....By the time I hit the send button you were on the phone with him....Tell him I said hello. What a great guy he is... Thanks for your thoughts and prayers for my dad. He got home yeaterday evening and is doing well. I hope to see you soon. We love you and miss you.....

I keep checking back into this website to see the latest info.... even though I don't always leave a message. It is nice to see that for the most part the news is positive. I know I will see you soon at an IAWP event... hopefully in Darwin next year. I am really looking forward to another trip down under, and hope you will be there. Life for me has been a bit of a challenge this year, but nothig compared to your ordeal. I'll tell you all about it when I see you. Take care my friend, and drop a line if you can. pdxcop911@comcast.net
