July 21 (Sat)

Lisa had a pretty good day today - no surgeries, no physical therapy, and no unexpected events. She has started reviewing some of her blog entries, but has many more to go. She really appreciates your comments and words of encouragement. She has not been able to yet, but hopes to start doing her own blog soon.

Hey Major, do you want me to bring you hot tea for breakfast tomorrow ???
Since you are just lying around looking for something to do I am sending Glen down to see you from Mt. Carmel West to spice it up a bit. Remember Glen ???
and don't forget PAYBACKS :-) Smile !!!
Did someone say that you bought a bunch of HD stuff downstairs ???
So when do you want me to sneak the dogs in to see their mom?
Lisa, keep your head and spirits high as I know you will. We will be here for the long haul right beside you.
oh and Bill and Madagan send their love and we'll see you very soon.

Since we never made it to Pennsylvania, I never did get a new patch for my vest from our trip this summer. *HOWEVER* I got one that will truely represent what we did on our motorcycle trip 2007. It came from the gift shop downstairs, and will come from a hat I bought that says WEST VIRGINIA UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS

Hi Lisa,
First of all, we just heard about your (and Mary's) fateful Friday the 13th. You have our unconditional support and prayers as you recover day-by-day. You may be small, but we know you are mighty in everything you do, so recovery will be one of those things that you tackle with ease (and probably a little bit of sweat!)
Secondly, we were discussing your unsuccessful attempt at laying your bike down in our back yard in N.F. and decided that you must have mastered that task. Remember?!? Hopefully it doesn't hurt you too much when you laugh! :-)
We will continue to watch the blog, send you little messages and most importantly continue to pray for you, Mary and your families as you both recover.
Love,
Mark & Jane

Thanks for letting me know what happened. Those of us in S. Fl are always out of the loop. I know you have much faith and also you are fortunate because you have such wonderful friends. I am glad you will have them around to help you recover. I look forward to being able to talk with you. I was planning on calling because I'm headed to Baton Rouge for NAWLEE. I will definitely keep you in my prayers. You have my love and respect.

Lisa, Simon and i were horrified to hear what had happened to you and Mary, as fllow bikers we know the perils we face when car drivers are on the road!!! well I suppose you did at least get out on your bike?? In the UK everywhere is flooded so we really need jet skis rather than motor bikes!!
Lisa I saw someone had offered to bring you hot tea......what is that about ??!! Over here all our tea is hot!! So if you really want a cup of tea then Simon and I will personally bring you a good cup of Yorkshire tea, the best in the World!!
Take Care and I know we will see you soon at an IAWP conference, love and cuddles from your two 'brit' friends, Jane & Simon.xx

You're a very strong woman and I know you'll pull thru this with flying colors!! You were so nice to me when I boogered myself up 2 years ago - I just wanted to return the thoughts & prayers. Just hang in there, take it one day at a time & get yourself better! We'll see ya later.

Lisa -

Although we only met one time, in my driveway in Wellington, I have not forgotten about you. My sister, Col. J P Grimes, called to tell me about your accident earlier this evening. I was sitting on my Royal Enfield and sidecar rig, just about to go on a short ride. I had just completed instructing another successful Rider's Edge New Rider Course this afternoon.

Your speedy recovery is in my prayers. I hope we can reconnect when you are feeling better. By the way, I traded my Deluxe for a 2007 Road Glide. I miss the Deluxe terribly, but I love the Road Glide. My inaugural trip was to Panama City Beach in May to visit Julie and Jim (one year after his near fatal accident - we all rode together - Jim on his new Street Glide).

When you are feeling better, get in touch. I'm always looking for an excuse to ride somewhere.

Good evening Major, I hope that you had a great day today without alot of pain. I am sure that you had many visitors and you probably need to try to get some recuperative rest tonight.
I was at MidOhio sports course today. The big motorcycle race is in 2 weeks up there, so get ready !!!! You would love it and they do sell HD stuff up there so let me know if you want me to bring you back anything. I promise I won't charge a carrying fee :-)
I hope that you are being a good patient and are doing what they tell you to do. I know that will be hard for you, but do it anyway.
LOL, I hope you don't expect me to cut you slack now..forget about it. Get up and show everyone what you are made of girl !!!
I will see you very soon and let me know if you need me to bring you anything, just tell DI !!! Love ya girl, and remember everyday is one step closer to your complete recovery.
