July 19 (Thu)

7:26pm Lisa will undergo another surgery tomorrow to clean the wound again and to allow Grant Hospital doctor's to examine her leg for themselves. You may want to call the hospital before coming to visit to ensure she is not in surgery, or resting. Also, she may be moved to another room soon. The blog messages keep her connected to you, so don't hesitate to send as many as you like. Your patience and continued prayers are appreciated.

Major Lisa Taylor is at Grant Hospital in room 705A on the 7th floor.

The following are the visiting hours:
9am - 11am
2pm - 5pm
8pm - 9pm

Visitors should be limited to 2-3 people at one time.

Lisa (Major), it is great to have you back home among family and friends. They need to empty the adjacent rooms and knock down the walls to accommodate the onslaught of visitors. Perhaps rou should have reserved the entire floor. The healing is underway, body mind, and soul. The second two were not were not affected, you already had them in order. God bless.

Major Taylor, I've never had a MC crash, but I have had a few on a bicycle. I you had asked, I would have told you the "landing" really hurts! I've been praying for you , and trust you will have a full recovery. In the meantime, you will need to pull on your strength that got you through the 114 Academy Class.
P.S. I noticed when I checked your Class number that you were "born" the year I graduated from high school. Hummmmm. Hang in there, I know with God's help, you have the strength to get through this challenge! Take care, Jean Myers, retired OSHP Van Wert

Major,

We thought that we would drop you a line from friends is D-9. We are glad to hear you are back in the Buckeye and that your recovery is doing well.
You may not remember, but several years ago you gave an older woman a ride on your motorcycle at the Ironton McDonalds. She was a friend and she was very concerned when she heard the news. She wanted me to make sure that I told you that you were in her thoughts and prayers.
You will also be in my families thoughts and prayers. Take Care

Lisa, what great news that you are back and close to home! I'm sure you will be overwhelmed with visitors, and I know that you will tire easily, so I'll wait a bit to come and see you. Know that you and Mary are both in my thoughts and prayers and that all your friends and loved ones are glad to have you with us still. I know we all look forward to having you up and about in the near future. May God bless you and Mary and your families each and every day as you recover. :-) Cindy Kollin

Welcome home. I know you were wanting some of that Grant Hospital food when I was in there, but come on this is a little extreme don't ya think, besides it was nothing to write home about. We love ya and are thinking about you everyday. Keep your head high, remember everyday is a new day with new strides. Take some of your own advice to me, take care of you now, and let everyone else be there for you also. Take care and we will see you very soon.

Major,

I’ve been reading your blog comments and have come to three conclusions:

1. God is good.
2. Motorcycle crashes stink.
3. You have many people that love you and are praying for you.

Praying for a speedy recovery, wisdom for your doctors, and no pain!

Many thanks to the person that keeps us updated : )

Take care,
Laura Mourne

Good evening Major, as I read the blogs through all of the events since the crash last Friday, it all seems so surreal. It is so hard to believe that you are going through all of this!!
Just a little more than a week ago we were sitting at the Rice Bowl eating lunch before you were to go on vacation.
I was giving you a hard time as usual (not that I would do such a thing) and I wished you a good vacation.
If I only knew.
I hope that you are resting easy tonight and that some of the pain is ceasing. I just wish that you didn't have to go through aother surgery so soon.
Keep thinking that you will be better soon and that we are all here to help you get through this no matter how long it takes !!!!
Love ya and I will see you this weekend. Remember no sheetie, no eatie!!!!

I know you were looking for a way to get out of doing the team project for FINA 730, but did you have to do it this way?! You certainly deserve points for the most creative excuse for not turning in your homework.

Seriouly, I am relieved to know you are OK and that you're back in Columbus. I plan to stop by sometime this weekend for a visit. Let me know if you'd like me to bring you any contraband. Hospital food is notoriously less than appetizing.

God bless you can keep you in the palm of His hand. See you soon!

Welcome HOME, Lisa. I'm sure it's a relief to be back near old friends, and I'm sure the new friends you made in the Mountain State will be happy you made it safely. Get some rest. All that back seat driving from WV to Columbus must have been exhausting!

I am certain that you trust the doctors and that you are getting excellent care. The best for the best!!!!!
I am biting at the bit to come over there and see you, just trying to stay out of the way, but you had better be ready as I will be there tomorrow. Probably have to arrive at 4a, take a number and wait couple of hours to see you. It will be well worth the wait.
ok, gotta go, someone has to do your work while you are gone, geezz. LOVE YA GIRL, KEEP YOUR HEAD AND SPIRITS HIGH !!! (we will all make sure of that) - Hey any cute doctors over there?? LOL !!!!

It's great to have you back "home". When I heard you were heading home I became a little disgruntled that I had no excuse to take Thursday and Friday off to visit you down south:) You are in the best of hands (grant) when it comes to reconstructive work. They did all the work on Ben's elbow. They truly have God's backing. I know with their skill, your determination and all the prayers, you will persevere. I will see you soon. It might not be right away because I have heard that the bill to cover crowd control for all your visitors is coming close to exceeding the bill for the stolen backup tape.:) Since I know you are missing your daily quotes from our favorite web site I will be sending them to you.

Major Lisa, Just heard they moved you to a private room. I wondered about the poor schmuck who had to share a room with you when all your fans started filing in there. That person wouldn't get a minute's rest. So now that you have your own room, your peeps can come in droves....it is obvious that so many of us want to come and see you to give you words of encouragement face-to-face and squeeze your hand and show you our respect and love. Hope to see you next week. You are in my thoughts many times each day.

Major, so sorry to hear about your accident. I hope you are up and around very soon. I'm sure you know many prayers have already been said, and that alone is going to get you back on your feet much sooner than you anticipate. God Bless You!!!
